 The Class Group

An important feature of most face-to-face teaching is that it takes place with a group of students. Sessions such as formal lectures seem to attempt to legislate the group dimension out of existence (unsuccessfully, of course), but most other teaching recognises its enormous potential to help or hinder learning.
